About William Downs

William Downs is an up-and-coming photographer currently living just outside of Portland, Oregon. Specializing in landscape and wildlife photography, he’s a loving husband who is never far from his beloved camera.

Growing up just outside of Seattle, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and later moving to South Texas, William eventually settled in the shadow of Mount Hood — once again immersed in the forests, mountains, and rivers that inspire his work.

In addition to his passion for landscape and wildlife photography, William also explores astrophotography, macro photography, time-lapse, and portrait work, always seeking new ways to capture the world’s beauty and detail.

Beyond the lens, William is an avid woodworker and a 3D printing designer, blending creativity and precision to craft unique, custom pieces — from artistic home décor to personalized 3D designs. His love for design, nature, and craftsmanship all come together in his work, reflecting a deep appreciation for both art and the natural world.
